Are you interested in being more involved with the IIDA Great Plains Chapter?
It is time again to fill open positions within Chapter Leadership. Open positions include Vice Presidents, Directors, and Committee Members. Brief descriptions of available positions can be found below. Chapter Leadership work together to bring events, initiatives, and value to the interior design profession.
Are you an experienced professional that has limited time but want to stay involved? The Advisory Committee is for you!

Board of Directors (VP Positions)
President Elect:
A 1 year term but a 3 year commitment (president elect/ President/ Past President
Vice President of Advocacy Iowa:
Responsible for the legislative and regulatory issues and affairs of the chapter within the State of Iowa. Works closely with Chapter Lobbyists.
Vice President of Communications:
Responsible for the promotion of the Chapter including but not limited to social media, chapter newsletter & email communications, and helping implement and apply chapter branding as needed. Works in tandem with team of 3 directors.
Vice President of Eastern Iowa:
Responsible for planning and overseeing the programming happenings at a city center level. Works in tandem with City Center Committee.
Vice President of Omaha City Center: Responsible for planning and overseeing the programming happenings at a city center level. Works in tandem with City Center Committee.
Directors:
Work in tandem with the Vice Presidents to execute initiatives, events and duties to create the best experience for chapter members.
IDEA Chair:
Leads the charge for all things related to our annual awards event, IDEA. In 2026, the awards will be held in Omaha.
Committee Members:
Assist the Board and Directors to ideate on and execute chapter initiative.
Advisory Committee:
Is comprised of experienced IIDA Members what the Board of Directors can lean on as an additional resource from their knowledge and experiences. This is for those members looking to still be highly involved with the chapter but at a lesser time commitment.
